Home Up
On Education

The crystal dog and gossamer cat
Sat near the window sill
And the child that came
To school that day
Declared they'd had their fill
Of reading, writing, and arithmetic
And subjects so arcane
That should they be lost
In a great abyss
That heart would feel no pain.
To see them lost forever
Beneath a soggy, oozing mass
Overgrown with briar and bramble,
Tall trees and waving grass.
