So I’ll be honest with you, this didn’t end up being what I planned. I had something in mind that was a lot more elaborate and animated, and it didn’t work out, so I went with this instead.
Still! This was fun to draw, especially the goats. And any day I draw a cybernetic half-yeti is a good day.

Still great; I enjoy these very much. But I have to ask: what’s the theme music about? I have never managed to make out the words, and it basically leaves me confused.
melk: the milk you get by kissing elk
I wish they’d hired Lore to redesign Inspector Gadget for the new show. I woke up the family with guffaws.
Another year, another delightful piece of Lore Brand Christmas Whimsy. Perhaps I shall go and listen to Nine Inch Noels to get in the seasonal mood. God bless us every one!
Kit, it goes, don’t neglect your blog. Don’t avoid your blog. You can disregard me if you please but don’t ignore your blog.
I wish there were more yearly “Don’t be a hooker” payments where I live.
Is there a college major I can pick to be a Santologist? If I work hard, can I get a PhD in Santology?
It’ll be hard to top the Spiderman rant, but this is still prime quality humor.
The thing with the goats was delightfully surreal. Sure, the cybernetic half-yeti was great too, but I know what I’ll remember weeks (years!) from now on. It’ll be the goats. Poor goats.
Great stuff. Based on the news coverage of the bad weather, I suspect everyone in the Portland area will be dead by sunset. It is a great comfort to have something funny to watch in my last hours.
Did you say ‘Thomas Nash’? Should be ‘Nast’. Maybe you can splice a ’st’ in there.
JLS, I wish there were more girls that qualify for yearly “Don’t be a hooker” payments where I live.
I always thought the theme song started “Don’t neglect to floss” and that Lore was promoting good dental hygiene. Not that it made sense, mind you, just that’s what it sounds like.
I love this one! Future Santa looks like a cross between a murloc and a teletubbie after being assimilated by the Borg, which can only be an improvement. If good boys and girls get media acquisition credits, what do the bad ones get? There won’t be any coal left by 2100.
I always though the song said “you can disregard the in-betweens.” Ah well.
How much of this was true? Because that was actually enormously interesting. But then I like it when Reid goes off on rants in Criminal Minds and I watch a lot of BookTV on C-SPAN, so it’s safe to say I’m into useless info.
Now about future type predictions. I heard someone say that because of our propensity for finding new ways to carry liquid with us (i.e. cupholders on everything, water bottles, etc) will lead to us needing a near constant stream of beverage into our personage in the future. And I s’pose on a similar level we’ll eventually need a constant stream of music into our consciousness. I wish someone would do something with that. Not that it would’ve been particularly relevant to this, I just wanted to put it out there.
Ha! Love it, with the high point for me being “Don’t be a hooker payments”.
kit: The song is “Update your blog” by Alex Arrowsmith. See
http://slumbering.lungfish.com/?p=549
where Lore says, “. . . the theme song is “Update Your Blog” by Alex Arrowsmith.” The lyrics are just a Googling away, but here are some:
You never update your website
How can we be friends when you neglect to write?
So don’t neglect your blog
Don’t avoid your blog
You can disregard me if you please
But don’t ignore your blog
Says it all, really.
DaveMc got the words right. I suppose the fuzz on my voice makes my words a bit puzzling, but that’s part of the fun…right?!
I have to agree with everyone about the goats. I had to stop and stare at that one for a while. That’s surreal in a downright iconic way. I foresee t-shirts.
Yet another guffaw-worthy episode!
