What About Dave?
2:16 pm, October 5, 2007

So Dave made his way back to California for a couple days and informed me over burgers that he’s been quite industrious, posting essays over at ThisIsBy.Us and becoming the toast of Reddit. His latest work is about sex and religion, so you know it’s going to be good. For continuing adventures in funny, wry, and sometimes remarkably thoughtful Dave writingness, you can check out his user page.

And watch the skies!

So, no more Self Made Critic? I went on a search for it just a week or so ago and was disappointed that there wasn’t this huge body of reviews waiting for me to find them….

I am in California at the moment. I am, for dull yet expensive reasons, wandering solo around San Francisco aimlessly. Earlier I spent about two hours wondering why they’d painted the Golden Gate Bridge grey, before someone helpfully told me they hadn’t. There are two bridges in San Francisco? Who’d have known?

I’m glad that Dave is doing well although I, too, miss the SMC. Dave was the only reviewer that I could rely on 99.9% of the time (the only time he ever led me astray was “Charlie’s Angels 2″ but I forgive him).
