Table of Malcontents Now a Group Blog
Table of Malcontents has been transformed into a group blog, and it now covers a wider variety of material under the vague but compelling subject matter of "culture." I'll still be contributing as much as I used to, if not more, but you'll also be seeing posts by other people including John Brownlee, who is now the blog lead. I hope you'll visit, we set out cake.
Comments
Either John Brownlee writes and surfs using two keyboards, or he's been saving up for his big chance.

That's actually kind of sad for me. I always found the malcontents to have almost precisely the amount of, well, crap I wanted to see each day. The lack of weekends was always a problem (As I tend to have more free time on weekends, who doesn't?) but I preferred not being overwhelmed.

Well ... I don't want to just gripe, but I liked Table of Malcontents for A) its particular niche (stuff Lore is interested in), and B) its not updating 30 times a day (do people actually keep up with, say, BoingBoing without bleeding from the eyes?).
I'll give it a chance, though. Hopefully, Mr. Brownlee was just feeling prolific today.

Wait a moment, did he just wax poetic on Ulysses? I don't think they could have chosen a more different guy. I'm not sure I like this.

I'm looking forward to it, mostly because I had to quit BoingBoing when Doctorow used every post to plug whatever he was working on at the moment (No, Cory, I don't give a shit about your lecture circuit). Brownlee is a nice complement to the regular Lore stuff. Sounds like I have to check it twice as much.

I will concur, as feedback is the spice of life. John Brownlee says too much, too often. A few more days of this and my RSS reader will die, taking the feed with it.
Is there a particular reason Wired couldn't have just started a new blog of John-Brownlee-related things? It's a big internet, after all.

Owe - Emm - Gee that Brownlee guy writes a lot. I liked my old, somewhat-daily dose of Lore-Brand linkage. The new format is unreadable, too - less images, more text!

Yeah I don't know, Lore; this new guy is weird and unfamiliar. It's like you're on this long vacation we're being babysat by someone who likes boardgames we don't and smells like moth balls. It's not just that his links have little to do with the posts you used to present us with, or even have little to do with the internet at all, but a lot of them make me feel "uneasy."

RIP Table of Malcontents. I just deleted it from my RSS.

(by the above, I mean that I've deleted it from my RSS because it no longer has the content I want, not that it's dead because the Mighty Me has stopped reading it. Alright.)
