Always a pleasure to read your stuff, Lore, but it seems that every time I go to one of the articles, there's always just one comment from somebody who apparantely doesn't like you very much. The negative commenter is usually anonymous, too.
Now, I understand that not everyone is going to like everything on the internet, but it seems to me that you have a repeat heckler out there. Have you made many enemies during your time on the interwebs, Lore?
Not all people have the same sense of humor, and when you give people a forum for comment, not all the comment is going to be positive. I can't think of anything I like that doesn't have some serious detractors out there on the wild forums of the Internet.
When someone leaves a terse dismissal of a column I wrote, I just see that as the humor equivalent of "this shoe doesn't fit me." You can't make a shoe that fits everyone, so there's no point in worrying about it.
In addition, I'm not quite sure that everyone realizes that it's a humor column. I think some people came into my column on the Musee Mechanique expecting a straight news story and were disappointed that they didn't get that.
Comments
Very nice. Very Memento
