What I Learned This Morning

The word "frag" dates from the Vietnam era, and refers to killing your superior officer with a fragmentation grenade because you don't like him. I had no idea that was the origin. I also had no idea that the practice was common enough to require a word. There's more detail at "A.Word.A.Day."
